Yoga Sadhana

Classes for everyone – you don’t have to be fit, flexible or sit on the floor! But if you practice regularly

you might well become fitter & more flexible.  Yoga will strengthen the body over time, help to calm the

mind and free the body from tension. Practiced regularly, yoga can help with a range of health issues.


You can take up yoga at any age but may need to adapt what you do

according to your body, health, age, etc. Yogi Lea has over 25 years’ experience of teaching yoga and we will

use chairs (to sit in and to use as props) rather than sitting the floor.


Please come dressed in warm, comfortable clothing with layers to make sure

you don’t get too hot or too cold. Together, we will practice a range of physical postures,

balances, gentle movement sequences and some simple breathing and meditation exercises.

Isabelle and Lea will both be offering a series of longer weekend classes each focusing on a different aspect of yoga and related practices. Classes will take place on Saturday mornings, 10am to 12.30 either at our home studio or at The Dorchester Yoga Centre. Sessions at our home studio will be limited to five places, those in Dorchester to ten places. Our home studio is on the Dorset Ridgeway with views across Paradise Valley to the sea.

Advance booking is required; payment is non-refundable unless your place is taken by someone else. The cost per class is £20.

May 25th     Philosophical Framework – Basic Concepts - Isabelle

June 22nd    Yang and Yin – Outer and Inner Dynamic - Isabelle


These longer classes will include a range of familiar asana practices whilst introducing techniques and concepts that we don’t always have time for in our weekly classes. There will be time for pranayama, yoga nidra and meditation depending on the general theme.
