Brief Career Resume: Dr Lea Brindle
Dr Lea Brindle is a Consulting Chartered Occupational Psychologist and Counsellor who has worked with leading consultancy firms before setting up in private practice in 1989. In addition to delivering a range of consultancy assignments, Lea has assessed, counselled & coached in excess of 3,000 individuals during this period. He has conducted several assessment & development projects, and has carried out a range of validation & performance management exercises for leading organisations.
Combining his interest in yoga, he has developed and runs with physiotherapists pain management clinics where people with pain issues explore the psychological and behavioual aspects in order to get lasting relief from pain.
Recently "Dr Lea" has assessed several hundred reality TV contributors for their mental satbility and general suitablility to be on TV.
He has designed and analysed several surveys & validation studies (mainly researching equal opportunities and organizational climate) using SPSS & Excel for both quantitative and qualitative data. Lea has also worked on several personal projects including validating new psychometric questionnaires profiling personal values.
Lea Brindle has also designed & facilitated a range of training courses from Assessing Objectively (e.g. behavioural & competence-based interviewing), Presentation Skills to Coaching for Managers. He is expert in using most leading psychometric questionnaires including the CPI, OPQ, 16PF5, Firo-B & Myers Briggs Type Indicator (in which he also has run BPS "Level B" training courses). He is qualified in the Morrisby and a range of other specialised career profiling instruments.
Dr Brindle holds degrees from London Guildhall University (1979), University of Aston (1980) and Cranfield University (1984). He has also received specialised Masters' level counselling training from Roehampton Institute and other leading organisations.
A Chartered Psychologist & Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, he currently serves as an Assessor for the Division of Occupational Psychology. He is also a founder member of the Association of Business Psychologists.
